Our Story
While I was shopping for my own wedding, the biggest challenge I faced on top of planning my outfits, was finding outfits for all of my besties that looked good, fit well, arrived on time, and most importantly made them feel ACTUALLY happy to wear.
The readymade options online, and in stores just didn’t serve my purpose for wanting something custom-designed in the right sizes and styles I needed. Coordinating with folks overseas in India proved to be more frustrating because of the time difference, language barrier, and constant miscommunication.
I learned quickly that this was a universal struggle for South Asian women planning weddings in the West, and the inspiration for Hey Saheli came to me. So, I decided to curate a list of designers that I personally loved and reached out to see if they would be interested in partnering with me.
After my friend got engaged, she asked me to help with her wedding outfits. We made her dream come true and the whole bridal party was happy. That's how Hey Saheli started.
